PLEASE may I through your page, say a big thank you to the kind people who came to my rescue after a nasty slip on the inner seabank footpath (that runs between Heacham and Hunstanton), on Friday, October 31 at midday-ish.
An unknown couple who were closing down their holiday chalet phoned for the ambulance and produced some biscuits so that my retriever, Buster, could be finally coaxed into another couple's vehicle for safetransport to my home.
This kind couple, a Mr and Mrs Dorrington, made sure my dog was settled with water, cutting short their own day out, to help others.
Also thanks to my neighbours, who closed down the house after seeing Buster off, collected out-of-hours by the excellent Doghotel Kennels, who know him well, and finally thanks for the excellent care of the two ambulance ladies and the Queen Elizabeth hospital doctors and staff at Lynn.
Now I'm home again nursing a broken ankle, put back together and resting up.
The family has rallied round from far away and friends and neighbours have offered all kinds of support.
Times like these restore your faith in human nature, reminding me what a great place North West Norfolk is to live in with such wonderful people too.

- I am writing to you in the hope that a family who have restored my faith in humanity will be reading this.
On Saturday, me and my girlfriend had been to the majestic cinema in lynn to watch james bond.
We left the cinema and went to the Royal bank of scotland cash machine.
I typed in £100 and was muttering to my girlfriend about how much money we will be spending on the kids etc for christmas.
I got my card back, popped it in my wallet and continued to moan at the missus, when all of a sudden a young lad came up behind us shouting that I'd left my money in the machine. THANK YOU.
Most people would just have pocketed the money but a huge thank you to this family who were extremely honest.
Thank you.
