I, like many, thought Lynn News photographer Roy Williamson would go on forever.
I have known Roy as a photographer and a musician for 45 years. He is always smiling and has a great sense of humour.

I always remember the day that Jill and Roy got married. They had the reception in the upstairs ballroom at the Kit-Kat.

During the reception Roy looked out of the window and saw that the tide was in, so he took Jill downstairs, out on to the beach, took off his socks and shoes, took Jill up in his arms, then waded out in the water up to his knees, and had their photo taken.

Jill was screaming, but Roy was just laughing all the time, trying not to drop Jill in the water.

All the best Roy old mate, have a good retirement.
