MY HUSBAND and I, both in our 70s, are no longer able to have holidays due to ill health.
We have always walked our dogs, well-behaved Cavalier King Charles Spaniels, on leads and carry poo bags.

We have walked all weathers, winter and summer, purchasing a season ticket for the beach car park at Snettisham.

Last year we bought a caravan at Snettisham beach site and our greatest joy in life is to walk our dogs on the beach and around the lake.

We can sympathise with residents nearby for the selfish and thoughtless dog owners who do not pick up the mess.

I have even offered doggy bags to people.

Now we are desolate at not being able to continue our walks, as it is the greatest pleasure to watch the birds and enjoy the peace and tranquility of the lakes, and talking to the lovely people we meet.

Please, please don’t close this footpath as it is one of the few pleasures in life.
