A BREAK from tradition at Lynn's College of West Anglia has given the Lynn News Hunstanton Lifeboat Appeal a Christmas boost.
Students and staff raised £500 for the appeal by giving donations instead of sending out Christmas cards.

The Lynn News appeal for a new Atlantic 85 inshore lifeboat at Hunstanton's RNLI station has soared past its £125,000 target.

More than £130,000 has been raised, with every penny over and above the amount needed to build the boat going towards training the station's 20-plus volunteer crew members.

College principal David Pomfret and his personal assistant Dawn Pepper presented the cheque to the lifeboat station's operations manager Robin Rafferty.
