Mini enthusiasts have raised an impressive £1,500 for the Lynn News Helipad Appeal, helping to boost our fund to £26,030.12.
Norfolk Mini Owners' Club donated the majority of the proceeds of their 2005 Mini Day Show, which was held at Fakenham Racecourse in May.

This year's show saw more than 350 Minis arrive for the event, with some of the owners camping out and taking part in a disco hosted by the club.

Public relations secretary Craig Scott said the group has raised about £5,000 for the East Anglian Air Ambulance over the last four years.

And the club has already decided next year's show will support the charity, too.

The club is looking for sponsors for its 2006 show. Contact Mr Scott for more information on 01760 724331.

We now have almost half the cash needed to build a landing pad for the helicopter at Lynn's Queen Elizabeth Hospital. But we still need your help to make sure we reach our target of £60,000.

A fun day will be held for our appeal at the Quaymount Nursery in The Row, Wereham, on Sunday.

From 10am until dusk, craft stalls, a plant doctor, refreshments and a raffle will be available. And children will be able to meet Father Christmas himself. At noon and 3pm, Christmas wreath-making demonstrations will take place. Entrance is free.

And Steve Harris from The Fenman pub in Blackfriars Road, Lynn, is still looking for participants for his Helipad Golf Day, to be held at the Tydd St Giles course next Friday, November 18.

Teams of four are needed for the event, but individuals can be matched up with other entrants if they don't have a team.
The cost of the day is £35 per player, including a meal.

Tickets are available from Mr Harris on 01553 761889.

And a Christmas sale will be held on Saturday, November 26, at Stanhoe Village Hall, in Cross Lane, from 10am to 12.30pm, and entrance is free.

Cakes, Christmas-themed crafts, bric-a-brac, a raffle and refreshments will be available.

Send cheques made out to East Anglian Air Ambulance to: Helipad Appeal, Lynn News, Limes House, Purfleet Street, King's Lynn, Norfolk PE30 1HL.
