METHWOLD fundraiser Madge Watts is hoping her second concert in aid of the Lynn News Hunstanton Lifeboat Appeal is as successful as the first, after it raised more than £540.
The dedicated 78-year-old, who has raised thousands of pounds for charity since retiring 25 years ago, organised a concert for the £125,000 appeal at the village's St George's Church on Saturday night.

Around 70 people joined in the fun and enjoyed music from In Harmony, with West Norfolk man David Thomas on the keyboard and vocals by Tanya Lee, Sally Darby and Colin Wyatt.

Mrs Watts is now hoping her second concert, being held at the church on Saturday, March 10, will be equally as successful.

The popular Norvic Concordia, the award-winning accordion ensemble from Norwich, will be giving its first-ever performance in the village from 7.30pm.

Tickets for the concert cost £5 and are now available from Mrs Watts on 01366 728211.

* HUNSTANTON hovercraft and coastguard were called out to help a kite surfer in trouble in the water yesterday shortly after noon. The man was brought back to Hunstanton Lifeboat Station and checked over by ambulance staff as a precaution, but although very cold did not need hospital treatment.
