Concert will be a treat

WORLD music fans have a treat in store this month at Kettlestone village hall, two miles from Fakenham.

Celebrated Senegalese musician Doudou Cissoko, who has appeared on Jools Holland Live, will be performing on his 21-string kora instrument accompanied by two members of his band.

The kora, described as a hybrid of harp and guitar, has brought Cissoko fame far beyond his native Senegal.

The evening will include a mix of traditional Manding music along with Latin, Caribbean and jazz elements.

The concert, which is sponsored by Creative Arts East, is on Saturday, February 25 from 7.30pm.

Advance tickets at £7.50 or £6.50 are available by calling 01328 878200 or 878473.

They are £8.50 on the door.
