Fancy being the next Scorsese?

CHILDREN aged between 11 and 14 in the Swaffham area are being offered the chance to learn the secrets of film-making and to try out their new skills.

Breckland Council is organising a new film-making course over 15 weeks to cover all the skills needed to become a famous film director like Martin Scorsese.

Participants will learn how to plan and write scripts, direct, use professional movie-making equipment, edit film and add music.

The free course will run in the small hall at Swaffham Community Centre on Wednesdays, from 4pm to 6pm, beginning on March 7.

Breckland Council executive member Lynda Turner said: “After finishing the course, participants will have the opportunity to try out their new skills by working together to create their own film based on Jubilee memories.”

Places can be booked through Breckland Council anti-social behaviour officer Sarah Smith on 01362 656870.
