Focus on dates

FLEDGLING writers and poets are invited to turn their minds to the subject of anniversaries and celebrations in a special event organised by community group First Focus and Fakenham library.

In a year which is already marking the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee and the 200th anniversary of the birth of Charles Dickens, the challenge is to write a short story or poem on a personal theme about anniversaries and celebrations.

Entrants are invited to First Focus on Cattle Market Street on the morning of March 6 from 10.30am to share their compositions.

This is a fun occasion with no prizes on offer but you are welcome to stay for refreshments.
