Magic of Snow White about to unfold

KING'S Lynn Operatic and Dramatic Society is promising a panto as good as professional ones in Hunstanton and Norwich with a festive performance of Snow White next week.

KLODS will be filling Lynn Arts Centre with fun and frolics, and encouraging the audience to join in the traditional panto antics, when they open the classic fairytale next Saturday (27).

Danielle Naylor, who was named vocalist of the year at last year's Yamaha Music Awards, takes the lead as Snow White, with Jo Manning as the Prince and a group of talented youngsters will be playing the seven dwarfs.

Making her directing debut is Louise Rouse, who has enjoyed putting the show together and can't wait to see it in action.

"I'm really confident with how everything has gone. It's been really fun and the cast is so enthusiastic. The show will be as good as the pantos in Hunstanton and Norwich and everyone should come and watch it," she said.

The show is choreographed by Andrea Newstead and musical director Liz Pipe has arranged an exciting and varied musical score, including Michael Jackson's Thriller and Man in the Mirror and numbers by Dolly Parton and Wet, Wet, Wet!

Snow White is being performed at 2.30pm and 7.30pm next Saturday, with afternoon performances only next Sunday and on New Year's Day.

Other evening performances are on Monday, December 29, and Tuesday, December 30.

Tickets, priced at 9.50 (7.50 concessions) and 30 for a family ticket, are available from the box office on 01553 764864.
