Magician Paul in Lynn weeks after accident

WELL-KNOWN television magician Paul Daniels will be stopping off at Lynn Corn Exchange next Friday (February 24) just weeks after he damaged two fingers with a circular saw.

Undoubtedly one of the most successful TV magicians of the 20th century, Paul hit national headlines after the accident on New Year’s Day.

His damaged left index finger was later reattached by a surgeon while the tip of his ring finger was also hurt.

Paul, however, vowed to continue with his mammoth nationwide tour, which will also involve his wife, Debbie McGee, and his son, Martin Daniels.

Their critically-acclaimed and much-loved show, Hair Today, Gone Tomorrow, exhibits their unique hilarious art of comedy magic.

Whilst on holiday at the age of 11, Paul read the book How to Entertain at Parties and since then he has been entertaining the masses, from tricks for his fellow servicemen during his national service to audiences in their millions on prime time TV.

Opportunity literally knocked in 1970 when Paul was spotted by a TV producer and he was soon hosting his own show The Paul Daniels Show (BBC 1) with his future wife, Debbie McGee, for 15 years.

Paul became a magical star and hosted a number of other television series from Odd One Out, Every Second Counts, Wipeout, and the ever popular and fondly remembered Wizbit, all for the BBC.

In recent years, Paul appeared on Da Ali G Show (Channel 4), Ant and Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway (ITV) and Strictly Come Dancing (BBC) and alongside Debbie on cult TV show When Louis Met . . . presented by Louis Theroux (BBC 2), Wife Swap (Channel 4), The Farm (Channel 5), and The X Factor: Battle of the Stars (ITV).

The show takes place at 7.30pm.

Tickets are priced £19, £18 concessions, available from the box office on 01553 764864 or online at www.kingslynncornexchange.co.uk
