FANS of the Teenage Mummies are in for a trip down memory lane as the band prepare to reunite for a charity performance this spring.

After 45 years, the band will be performing once again at Snettisham Memorial Hall for a concert like no other in April.

Sticking to their 60s roots they will be performing a set with a difference, supported by local band Side Walk for this one-off charity performance, as they raise funds for the Norfolk Hospice Tapping House.

The original group members – Chalkie Bowman, Kevin Cahill, Billy Easthall and of course Molly the Mummy, the on-stage Egyptian mummy that parties with the band – make for a very different kind of performance.

And this time they will be joined by Molly’s own granddaughter and friend as local choir members join the band for a few spooky numbers and tracks of their own, making it a truly unique performance.

This fundraising charity gig is due to take place on Saturday April 28 from 8pm.

Tickets, priced at £5 for adults and £2.50 for children, are available from the Norfolk Hospice fundraising office on 01485 542891.
