SEDGEFORD: Diners back church appeal
Nick Skerritt of the King William IV, Sedgeford presents the proceeds of a charity Italian night to St Mary's Church wardens Pam Goddard and Janet Frost (left) for the restoration fund.
A church appeal has been boosted by the diners at a village pub.
Staff and regulars at the The King William IV in Sedgeford have raised £750 during an Italian night for St Mary’s Church in the village.
Church wardens Pam Goddard and Janet Frost are pictured above receiving the cheque from the pub’s owner, Nick Skerritt.
A total of 80 people enjoyed tucking into pasta during the event, which was held at the pub last November.
Mr Skerritt said this is the fourth fundraiser the pub has organised for the church and was delighted with the amount raised.
He said: “I like to support local charities.”
