Sugababes in the Forest this summer

POP princesses The Sugababes will be playing Thetford Forest this summer – and ticket sales are expected to be brisk.

It was announced on Monday that the internationally-acclaimed soulful pop trio are playing the well-known venue on Saturday, July 11.

Tickets are 28 (subject to a booking fee) and will be available from today on ticket hotline 01842 814612 or online at www.forestry.gov.uk/music

The Sugababes, whose songs include such smash-hit singles as Girls, Push the Button, Hole in the Head, Red Dress and Caught in a Moment, are due on stage between 8.30pm and 9pm.

The show is being staged at the High Lodge forest centre through the Forestry Commission, which said it's "committed to taking woodlands to new audiences and making them relevant to people in new ways."

The announcement follows news that Paul Weller, of The Jam fame, will be playing the venue on Friday, June 5, and Jools Holland and his Rhythm and Blues Band will be there on Saturday, June 6.
