SWAFFHAM: Half-term fun for the youngsters

Breckland Council is organising creative workshops and multi-sports activity sessions to help keep children occupied during the schools’ half-term next week.

Youngsters who love to create can brighten up the break at a free family lantern-making workshop to be held at Swaffham Community Centre on Monday, from 10am to 1pm.

Places on the workshop can be booked through the Iceni Partnership on 01760 722800 and the children should be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

On Monday, there will be multi-sports at Narborough Community Centre, from 9.45am to 11.45am, and at Swaffham Community Centre, from 1pm to 3pm.

The action switches to Ashill Community Centre on Wednesday, from 10am to noon, and to Necton Rural Community Centre next Friday, from 10am to noon.

For more information call on 01362 656870.

Lynda Turner, Breckland executive member for localism and community, said: “These courses provide a great opportunity for children to try out new activities, learn new skills and make new friends.”
