SWAFFHAM: Tempest inspires pupils

Pupils from Swaffham’s Sacred Heart School will be watching a professional production of Shakespeare’s The Tempest at Lynn Corn Exchange today with particular interest.

For later this year pupils from Years 9 and 10 are staging their own Shakespearean plays at the Mangate Street school and they will be hoping to pick up a few tips and some inspiration from the cast of the Shakespeare 4 Kidz production.

On Monday, Years 8, 9 and 10 attended a Tempest workshop at the school to prepare for today’s performance so they would have a deeper understanding of the Bard’s final play.
