Two helpings of 'Big Gig'
THE Next Big Gig is offering a generous double helping of live music this weekend (June 20 and 21).
Lynn's Queen's Arms, in London Road, will be opening its doors to gig-goers tonight (Friday, June 20) and tomorrow (Saturday, June 21) with metal, indie and pop acts.
The music starts tonight with melodic rockers VIDE INFRA; teenage jazz, rock, funk act FUNKALICIOUS; metal band TERMOIL; and a debut from new band THE COLT 45s.
Featuring Simon Perry on bass, Ben Watts on rhythm guitar and vocals, Ryan Bensley on lead guitar and Rob Chamberlain on drums, they perform a variety of indie rock covers.
The action continues tomorrow with teenage rock pop band THE CRUSH, comprised of Connor Manning, Jake Morrell, Lewis Jenkins and Jamie Bishop. They will be performing a set inspired by artists such as Jimi Hendrix, Paolo Nutini and Guns and Roses. Pop punk band EASILY FORGIVEN make their Next Big Gig debut.
Completing tomorrow's line-up is talented singer-guitarist MATTHEW ANDREW.
Both shows start at 7.30pm and tickets cost 5 on the door. Under-16s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.
