Three friends had West Norfolk gripped to their televisions when ITV2’s The Magaluf Weekender followed them on a lads’ holiday.

Tom Crosby, 20, from Gaywood, was joined by his younger cousin, Sean Ward, from Swaffham, and best friend Harry Nickerson, 20, from Tottenhill.

Tom was handed a leaflet in the street offering a free holiday if he contacted ITV2 to take part in an upcoming programme.

He said: “They said it would be us and another group and that they would film us throughout the holiday to see what we got up to.”

Harry said: “I just got a text from Tom asking if I fancied doing this TV show and though why not?

“It all happened very fast and before you knew it, we were being interviewed.”

The boys were booked into the Lively Hotel along with twins Ruby and Pearl Day, from East London, who were also being filmed over the long weekend.

Tom said: “It was strange being filmed all the time and there were times you were so aware of the cameras that you felt like you were acting, but I’d say you forgot about them 70 per cent of the time.”

Harry said: “I was apprehensive about going away for the first time without my parents but I had a really great time.

“The best moment was on the last night, unfortunately they didn’t show it, but we went to BCM which is the biggest club there and because we were with the film crew we managed to get on stage while rapper Wiley was performing. It was incredible.”

Tom said: “I think the worst moment of the holiday was the first night when I completely misjudged the measures and got really drunk and ended up throwing up, but after that we all took it pretty easy and had a great time.”

The programme was shown on ITV2 last Sunday, January 13, and both Twitter and Facebook feeds were filled with comments about the show.

Harry said: “I didn’t want to watch the show with my parents in case they got cross or thought I had embarrassed them in some way, but they said I came across really well and that they were proud of me.”

Tom added: “Everyone has been really nice about the show, we’ve had lots of people telling us they really liked it and that they thought we were funny.”

Harry said: “It was a fantastic experience and although I would like to have changed some things, like how I came across with Ruby, I would do something like this again.”
