Pictured at Burnham Market Primary School in March, 1986, are pupils displaying some of the exhibits at an exhibition showing how village life had changed in the past 100 years.
They are joined by the headteacher John Aitken, Merle Hooke (centre) the teacher responsible for the exhibition, and one of the parents, Cindy Stimpson. The 30 pupils in Class 5 were divided into five groups each tackling a 20-year period over the last century. Parents and grandparents also lent a hand by raiding attics for bygones. A decoration from a Victorian wedding cake in a glass cabinet was one of the more unusual exhibits, but the children found the war items really caught their imagination. Photo: MLNF 861474
