THE Linnets have announced that Michael Chinn has resigned as a director of the club for personal reasons.
A statement on the Linnets website said: "The club has to announce that for personal reasons Michael Chinn has resigned as a director of the club with immediate effect.

"The directors, and we are sure, all people concerned with the club would like to thank him for his tremendous help over the past two years and wish him all the best for the future.

"The club is also inviting anyone that might wish to involve themselves as a director, with a view to help push the club forward, to contact the club."

Chinn, who is understood to have been a major benefactor for the Linnets, has recently been linked with a proposed takeover at Blue Square Premier Rushden and Diamonds.
