Duo close to Linnets return

LINNETS boss Keith Webb will have to consult his sickness list before naming his side to face Farsley Celtic at The Walks tomorrow (Saturday).
Both Adam Smith and Simon Weaver picked up knocks in the FA Cup win at Wroxham last Saturday, while Jack Defty missed training on Tuesday night with a sickness bug.
Webb said: "We've got three important games coming so we'll have to monitor these players closely.
"Simon's knock is a bit more serious than Adam's, so we need to be careful."
Long-term absentees Ben Chapman and Mark Camm are both edging closer to a first-team return, with Chapman due to get some match practice with the Reserves at Mildenhall.
"Ben is quite close and needs some time on the pitch while we have to keep an eye on Cammy as you can't be too careful with hamstrings."
Webb believes reaching the end-of-season play-offs is a realistic target for the club.
"You have to have targets in a season and making the play-offs is a realistic one," admitted Webb.
"We're learning with every game at this level. It's about keeping your concentration levels and being dogged. You have to keep going for 90 minutes at this level.
"You want to stretch and push yourselves further as the season goes on but I'm under no illusions that Farsley will be another difficult game.
"They are just behind us in the table and have picked up some good results, but all we've got to worry about is continuing our good work since the Harrogate defeat."
On the central midfield partnership of Scott Mitchell and Adam Smith, which is starting to blossom, Webb said: "They are starting to forge a good partnership in there.
"They have both got pace and pick out a good pass, it's a question of them getting used to how the team play.
"Sometimes they have to discipline their own game to meet the needs of the players around them."
Webb, meanwhile, has missed out on the potential signing of former highly-rated Mansfield midfielder Tom Shaw.
Shaw signed for Blue Square North rivals Tamworth last week and Webb admitted to talking to the 21-year-old about a possible move to The Walks.
"I was certainly interested in him and did speak to Tom," said Webb.
"The problem was that he was another one of these players who thought that King's Lynn are a big-spending club and I wasn't prepared to meet his pay demands."
There will be a minute's silence before tomorrow's game in memory of Linnets stalwart Maurice Ebbs, who sadly passed away last week (see page 111 of today's paper).
