SCOTTISH Division One side Clyde will visit The Walks for a pre-season friendly against the Linnets on Tuesday, July 15.
As well as hosting The Bully Wee, Lynn have confirmed a further three friendlies.

Keith Webb will send a squad to United Counties League outfit S and L Corby on Thursday, July 10, before Blue Square Premier Cambridge United visit The Walks two days later.

Lynn have also arranged a trip to Great Yarmouth on Thursday, July 19.

Chairman Ken Bobbins revealed that the club hopes to sign a centre-back/right-back by next Friday.

He added: "We're still speaking to a lot of players even though a lot are on holiday.

"We've mentioned to them that there's a genuine problem that the Conference have with things up in the air over Halifax, Nuneaton and Boston.

"None of the players we've talked to are particularly concerned about that."

News regarding the fate of those Conference clubs mentioned should emerge after the weekend.

Lynn chairman Ken Bobbins added: "We're in the process of getting the floodlights upgraded to football league standard.

"We desperately need to complete this, and it may take the whole pre-season.

"It's also fabulous news that season ticket sales have gone up 70 per cent.

"We've sold just under 300 – it was only a few years we had crowds of just over 350.

"It helps us out pre-season, as the club has to continue existing over the summer.

"Bills need to be paid, and considerable money goes towards the pitch and certain ground improvements."

The Linnets will shortly be releasing a list of current players signing with the side.

Ex-Linnet Robbie Harris has just signed for Ridgeons Football League Premier Division Mildenhall Town.

The striker joins former Linnets Chris Bacon and Steve Spriggs at Mildenhall.
