THE LINNETS let three points slip out of their grasp as they were held 1-1 at home to Redditch last night.
For the second successive match Lynn had taken a first-half lead only to surrender in the second.

Julian Joachim capped a fine display by heading Lynn's goal in the 41st minute, from a neat free-kick from the hard-working Michael Frew.

The Linnets, making their Conference North home debut, had two strong appeals for a penalty turned away and a Jack Defty goal ruled out for offside.

Cheered on by a crowd of nearly 1,200 Lynn made other opportunities but often gave away possession in the second half.

They were stung when Redditch equalised in the 67th minute with a long-range pile-driver.

Full match report, pictures and weekend game preview in Friday's Lynn News.
