LINNETS manager Keith Webb is calling for more of the same when they host Droylsden tomorrow at The Walks.
He wants a repeat of the "benchmark" his men set in midweek.
Lynn bossed Tuesday's draw with Redditch.
Webb said: "I was pleased with the performance – that's been the best since pre-season started. It was an improvement over the Burscough game, which is what I was looking for.
"We won't be far away if we put in enough of those displays over the season. That is our benchmark.
"There were a lot of good performances. Michael Frew played well; Julian Joachim showed his quality at times – it was a good finish, and a good ball in.
"Good passing in the first half, we just couldn't kill them off with the second goal.
"I read on the website that people were blaming Charlie Defty for their goal for a misplaced pass, but misplaced passes happen always in games.
"I didn't like it that their guy was given full opportunity to come forward and bang it. As a team we've got to close him down."
Simon Weaver, who suffered a gashed head in the Redditch game, is set to play after no ill-effects.
Webb said: "Head wounds look nastier than they are sometimes, but it's nothing too bad, and hopefully he'll be alright for Saturday."
He added: "I don't know a lot about Droylsden, but I'll put a call into people about them.
"They've just come down from the Conference. Obviously they'll be disappointed about that, and I expect an even tougher game.
"We're going to have to put in a similar performance, if not better, to get the three points.
"We've got a lot of good footballers in the club – the only thing I ask of them, is to work.
"If we do that, I'm convinced we will be a match for anyone in this league.
"If they put the work in, they've already proved to be match-winners."
John Turner is back from his honeymoon next week.
Like Lynn, Droylsden have drawn their first two games 1-1, Wednesday being their latest result at Gateshead.
The Bloods' opening day deadlock was at home to the Linnets' old rivals Tamworth at the Butcher's Arms.
- Before tomorrow's game a cheque presentation will be made to the East Anglian Air Ambulance by fan Amanda Hodgson, who pledged money to the cause after winning the club's kit sponsor draw.
Also, the club is awarding life membership to Keith Rudd, who has been manager at all levels at The Walks. Both presentations are expected to be around 2.30pm.
