LINNETS boss Keith Webb is closing in on his third new signing of the summer.
Webb, who refused to reveal the position and identity of his latest target, hopes to have the deal tied up by the end of the week.

Lynn's boss, who has already brought midfielder David Bridgwater and defender Simon Weaver to the club during the close season, said: "We're getting closer, but I don't expect anything to be done before the end of the week."

DANNY'S BACK

Webb's squad was given a timely boost over the weekend with the news that striker Danny Bloomfield had committed himself to the club.

"I'm delighted Danny has agreed to stay with us," said Webb.

"His goalscoring record in non-league football is as good as anyone's. He is a box player and one of those fellows who can score goals.

"He wanted a little bit of reassurance that he was still an important member of the squad.

"He'll find it a little bit more difficult next season, but he is a natural goalscorer and they are the hardest to find."

Lynn's confirmation that they will play in the Conference North next season will see them meet ten new teams.

The Walks outfit have never played against Alfreton, Burscough, Blyth Spartans, Hucknall, Droylsden, Farsley Celtic, Fleetwood, Stalybridge Celtic, Harrogate or Vauxhall Motors in the league before.
