Calf-length skirts were the order of the day for this seaside snap – but who were the people and what was the event?
Linda Baynham (58), of Snettisham, would love to have some information to go with the picture, which includes her mum, May Dix (née Hipkin) fourth from left.

Mrs Dix died in December, aged 78, and her daughter discovered the photo as she was sorting through her things.

Mrs Dix grew up in Snettisham, moved to Heacham after marrying her late husband Eric then returned to Snettisham following his death.

It is thought the photo may have been taken before Mrs Dix married during the period she worked at the Railway Inn or Railway Hotel, Hunstanton.
