Gaywood triumph over London boys

Schoolboy footballer Ron Bunting dug this picture out of a drawer and thought it might trigger happy memories for some of the other team members.
Widower Mr Bunting (78), of Chapel Lane, West Winch, was about to leave school when the picture was taken and though many of the faces look a little stern this was a moment of celebration.

Mr Bunting is pictured with the 1942-43 team of the former Gaywood Park School and recalls they had just won the cup by defeating London football team Hackney Downs.
