The magical world of Charles Dickens came to Holme next the Sea in 1988 when filming started on a screen adaptation of David Copperfield.
This picture was brought to us by Leonard Potter (85), of Collingwood Road, Hunstanton, and shows Peggotty's cottage, which was part of the film set.

Mr Potter noticed the strange-looking cottage while enjoying a walk with his wife Joyce along the beach front.

He told the Lynn News: "I know the coast line quite well and I saw this structure there one day while walking along the beach.

"I had not seen it before and only found out afterwards it was for the film David Copperfield.

"They had also built an aluminium road for vehicles and it was quite a big operation at the time."
