A man who stole more than £1,000 of cosmetics from a shop sold them for £60, a court has heard.
Steven Suggers, 32, pleaded guilty to two charges of theft when he appeared before magistrates in Lynn on Thursday.
The court heard that Suggers had stolen cosmetics worth £1,073.99 from the Superdrug store in Fakenham on May 2 this year.
Paul Brown, prosecuting, told the court: “He did sell them. He got £60. He meant to sell them.”
Then, on May 11, he stole three bottles of Jack Daniels whisky, five bottles of vodka and four cans of Stella Artois lager, from the town’s Tesco store.
Roger Glazebrook, mitigating, said Suggers had found himself homeless prior to the incidents.
Suggers, of The Croft, Little Snoring, was fined £100 for the Tesco theft and told to pay £1,073.99 for the theft from Superdrug.
He was also ordered to pay a £150 criminal courts charge and £50 costs.
