Plans to build a multi-million pound solar farm just outside a West Norfolk village have been rejected by councillors.
Developers Solar Associates were seeking permission to install more than 30,000 turbines on land off Bircham Road.
A decision was initially deferred by the West Norfolk Council planning committee on Monday to enable a site visit to take place.
But the application was turned down following that visit yesterday.
The decision was made contrary to officers’ recommendations to approve the scheme.
