ACCOMMODATION for staff and students at Lynn's Queen Elizabeth Hospital is set for a £6 million revamp, health chiefs have announced.
Work is expected to begin on refurbishing and updating the hospital's 82 flats in August after a contract was finally agreed with the trust's NHS partners Norlife.

Hospital bosses said the work was needed as the flats, which can accommodate more than 200 people, are no longer able to meet even the basic standards the NHS sets out for trainee doctors and nurses.

Under the contract, Norlife will invest £6 million to completely refurbish the accommodation, and then spend £100,000 every year to maintain it.
