MEMBERS of Hunstanton Royal British Legion Women's Section have celebrated the 60th anniversary of the branch.
Longest-serving member, branch secretary Lorna Witton (77) has been involved in the group almost from the start after her mum signed her up at the age of 17.

She was at a celebration lunch among around 60 guests, including members of the existing organisation and representatives from other nearby branches.

Mrs Witton, who is also a county vice-president, received a certificate of congratulations from the organisation's headquarters from another county vice-president and national representative May Arnold.

The Royal British Legion Women's Section has been providing care and support to the ex-service community for more than 85 years.

The Hunstanton branch is part of a countrywide network of 1,200 branches with a membership of 62,000 women.
