Hundreds of pounds were raised for the upkeep of West Norfolk Riding for the Disabled during a craft fair at the weekend.

Scores of people enjoyed looking around the stalls set out in the indoor school at the Magpie Centre in Wallington Hall, South Runcton.

A busy morning saw scores of shoppers browsing around the stalls selling paintings, jewellery and hair bows.

The event raised £600 which will go towards the £90,000 annual costs for the upkeep of the centre and its horses, which make a big difference to the lives of disabled people.

Trustee Jan Calvert was delighted with the amount raised.

Forthcoming fundraising events for the centre include an equestrian table top sale on October 10. A quiz will be held at Stow Bridge Village Hall on November 21. Entry, including hog roast, is £10.
