A TALENTED airman was caught drink-driving due to alcohol he consumed the night before, Lynn magistrates heard on Wednesday.
Trevor Fyfe (27), of Upper Marham, admitted driving a motorcycle with excess alcohol. He was banned from driving for 36 months, fined £320 and ordered to pay £75 costs.

Dorothy Pulsford-Harris, prosecuting, said police were called to an accident involving a car and a motorcycle in Narborough at 10.42am on June 8.

Police spoke to him and smelled alcohol on his breath.

A test showed he had 88 milligrams of alcohol in 100 millilitres of blood.

The limit is 80.

Fyfe had one similar previous conviction in 1998, said Mrs Pulsford-Harris.

Alison Muir, for Fyfe, said her client had gone out for a drink with friends the night before. He was only marginally in excess of the drink-drive limit.

“He never thought he was over the limit or he would not have ridden his motorbike,” she said.
