FIREFIGHTERS battled a fire in a home in Gainsborough Close, Downham, on Thursday evening.

Crews from Downham and Outwell were called to the house at 9.42pm and discovered the living room ablaze.

The fire, which started accidentally, was under control by 9.51pm.
