SUPERMARKET staff are not best known for getting their hands dirty.
But a group of Tesco employees did just that for a couple of days when they offered their services to help tidy up Fakenham's Millennium Park.

It was all part of a team-building exercise by the store to co-operate with the community and help improve the local environment.

The effort was supported by Focus DIY which provided free loose bark chippings.

Around a dozen team leaders from the supermarket equipped themselves with rakes, trowels and wheelbarrows before getting to work in and around the flower beds.

The park had been identified by the town council as a suitable starting point for what will become a regular commitment by Tesco. It is planned for similar working parties to get out and about in the town every six weeks or so.

The store's community liaison link, Ellie Clayton, said there were some 60 other Tesco stores across the UK who were doing something similar to support their communities.
