SOUTH Lynn residents are again being invited to have their say about the proposed new community hall being built as part of the current redevelopment of the area.
A drop-in session is being held on Friday at the project office, Saddlebow Road, from 2pm to 7pm.

"We are hoping for a really good turnout as this is a great opportunity for the people who live in this area, and who will be the people using the hall, to have their say about what they think would work for them," said Laura Razzell, NORA project officer.

This week's event follows on from a similar session last month when residents were asked what they wanted from the space.

Two key sites, St Michael's School and the Puny Drain, were discussed and four options presented: A hall at the current schoool site with a doctors' surgery; a hall at the site with a café and green space; a hall and licensed bar/social club and a new purpose-built facility on the filled-in Puny Drain site.

Friday's session is designed to fine-tune the ideas and draw more people in to say what they would like to see from the project.

"As a council we have put a great deal of energy and resources into creating strong community facilities which work for residents and in which they can take pride as we think they are essential in keeping communities vital.

"We hope that as many residents of South Lynn as possible will come along to help shape the vision of the new hall," said Cllr Jason Law, cabinet member for regeneration.
