New cabinet member for WN review

WEST Norfolk Council has appointed a new cabinet member for local government review to deal with the issues around the current discussions on changes to the system in the county.
Cllr Derrick Murphy took the role this week and is the ward member for Gaywood Chase.

"The prospect of significant local government reorganisation represents an enormous challenge. I regard my role as extremely important in ensuring the interests of local residents and businesses are kept at the heart of the entire process," he said.

Cllr Geoffrey Wareham has resigned from his position as cabinet member for development services amd new arrangements for the role are currently being determined.
