YOUNGSTERS got the chance to show off their artistic skills when Swaffham Lioness Club held its annual children's painting competition in the town's Assembly Rooms last week.
About 30 “masterpieces” were created during the free, two-hour morning event on Wednesday, August 20, which the Lionesses organised to provide a fun activity for children during the summer holiday.

Swaffham Town Mayor Shirley Matthews and Lionesses’ president Karen Nye judged the competition. The prizes of art and craft kits, were sponsored by the Lioness club. Winners: Age ten and above, 1 Xena Tigue (10); Age six to nine, 1 Helena Wade (6), 2 Thomas Stevenson (7), 3 Jamie Wade (6), 4 Julian Seyi Oseni (7); five and under, 1 Harry Stevenson (5), 2 Amy Greer (5), 3 Rhys Williams (5), 4 Ava Williams (21/2).
