THIS was the precious moments when little Katie Childs lived out her dream to meet the Disney princesses – thanks to the efforts of big-hearted fundraisers.
Katie (five) managed a few days of respite from the constant pain she is facing during a battle with a life-threatening brain tumour on the all-expenses paid trip to Disneyland Paris.

Fundraisers stumped up more than £7,000 to pay for the trip for
Katie, her mum Joyce Arnold, dad Kelvin Childs, brothers Matthew (13) and Declan (11) and sister Sophie (14).

Miss Arnold, of Lynn, said: "She met all the princesses and when she met some of them more than once they remembered her. We went for lunch with Cinderella's mice and all the princesses came in and danced and they made sure it was extra special for Katie.

"Now she has photos all over the house of her with the princesses."

Gaywood Howard Infant School pupil Katie was diagnosed with a tumour in March and has since undergone intensive rounds of difficult treatment to try to stop its progress, including huge steroid doses that have swollen her small frame.

As well as paying for the longed-for Disney trip the money raised for the family through an appeal organised, publicised by the Lynn News, and run by friends, has helped pay for day-to-day treats to ease the suffering for battler Katie.
