FIREFIGHTERS from Lynn and Downham tackled an early morning fire, believed to have been started deliberately, in a stable at Park Crescent in Magdalen today (Thursday).
Two fire crews from Lynn and one from Downham were called at 6.33am and they had the blaze under control by 7.12am, using main and hose reel jets. The stable and straw were affected.
A Norfolk Fire Service spokesman said no horses were in the building at the time. "Police were requested to attend as it was believed to be arson," he said.
Norfolk police confirmed the incident was being investigated. "Police have been called in and officers are making further inquiries," a spokesman said.
