HIGH standards in numeracy and literacy have seen Gayton First School presented with the Primary Quality Mark.
West Norfolk Mayor Cllr Michael Pitcher and Mayoress Gillian Pitcher visited the school to celebrate the award which acknowledges the sustained improvements which have been made in the classroom.
Headteacher Melanie Duggan said: "All the children have numeracy and literacy targets, they know what they have to do to improve their reading and writing and they have done extremely well.
"I was very, very proud of the school. The children and staff have worked really hard."
