TIME is running out to nominate your community stars for the 2008 Civic Awards for voluntary service.
The special awards were set up to recognise people from the borough of Lynn and West Norfolk who give their time and effort, without reward, for the good of others.

Borough Mayor David Johnson is encouraging people to get their nomination forms in by the end of the month, ready for the start of judging in February.

Councillor Johnson said: “Like so many of my predecessors, I have been struck since becoming mayor, by the work done by so many citizens of this borough for the good of others.

“I believe this award scheme is a way in which we can all say a small thank you to these people and I urge people to make nominations so that those who give so generously of their time can be recognised.”

Nomination forms are available by post from the civics officer, Town Hall, Lynn, PE30 5DQ, by telephone on 01553 762124 or by email at civics.officer @west-norfolk.gov.uk

They can also be downloaded from the mayoral section of the borough council’s website at www.west-norfolk.gov.uk
