PERFORMANCE car enthusiasts will be heading for Snetterton racetrack this weekend for the Modified Live! show.
They will be able to see hot road-legal vehicles, drag racers and drift cars in action at the Norfolk circuit for the first time.

The main feature of Sunday's event will be the final round of the 2008 Time Attack Series which challenges competitors to drive hard against the clock to try to set the fastest lap time in finely-tuned road cars.

Other highlights will include a drag racing display from machines such as the Sumo Power 1,200bhp Nissan Skyline and the world's quickest street-legal car, Andy Frost's Vauxhall Victor, which can reach 189mph in 7.6 seconds.

There will be demonstrations by the European Drift Championship exhibition team at speeds of up to 100mph; and spectators will be able to experience a drift-car passenger ride round the circuit and learn the tricks from the professional drivers in a Nissan S15 for an additional £10.

With car club displays and a trade area for tuning products and expert advice, it promises to be one of the biggest car enthusiasts' gatherings in Norfolk this year. Tickets cost £15 for adults, with free entry for children of 12 and under. More details are available on the website www.snetterton.co.uk
