Three injured in Middleton crash

THREE people were seriously injured in a three-vehicle collision on the A47 at Middleton yesterday (Sunday).
Police were called to the accident shortly after 8am. The East Anglian Air Ambulance, four ambulances and four crews from Lynn and Swaffham fire stations also attended.
Firefighters using hydraulic rescue equipment worked for nearly an hour to cut free four casualties. The male driver and female passenger from the green Laguna and the female driver of the beige Laguna were all seriously injured. The male was airlifted to Norfolk and Norwich Hospital and the other casualties were taken to Lynn's Queen Elizabeth Hospital.
The vehicles involved were a green Renault Laguna, a beige Renault Laguna and a grey Citroen C5.
