Woman hurt after Middleton crash

AN ELDERLY woman was taken to hospital with serious injuries following a two-vehicle collision on the A47 at Middleton last night.
The crash happened on Lynn Road at around 7.40pm and involved two Vauxhall Corsas.

Fire crews used rescue equipment to release two people who were trapped and an elderly woman was placed in a neck collar before being taken to Lynn's Queen Elizabeth Hospital for treatment.

Her condition has been described as serious but not life threatening.
