The College of West Anglia, has won the Best Higher and Further Education Cookery Department at the British Cookery School Awards hosted by BBC Radio 2’s food and drink broadcaster Nigel Barden, on November 17 at Porchester Hall, London.
The team provided a menu for 4,000 guests at The Queen’s Sandringham Diamond Jubilee event.
Lecturer Jonathan Boyall said: “We are absolutely thrilled to win this award! It has been an exciting year for us and to win such an award and this will inspire the staff and the students to work even harder to achieve our goals.”
Mr Barden, said : ““We were impressed with the diversity of the teaching at the college of West Anglia.
The Hospitality team are keen to widen the experience for students and take on a number of external events during the academic year where staff and students work side by side.”
