Six students from Downham Academy sixth form held an afternoon tea as part of a project for their business studies.

Tickets for the tea, which the students also had to produce, went like hotcakes and all monies raised went to the Lymphoma Society.

Natasha Holford, one of the students, said: “The whole event went really well and we received some really good feedback from everyone who attended.

“It took about six weeks to organise. We also held a raffle and it was a group idea to raise money for the Lymphoma Society.”

Also taking part in the tea were: Georgia Woollard, Jess Ratsey, Natasha Holford, Kate Murfitt, Charlotte Smith and Eloise Foster.

A total of £417.47 was raised and our picture shows Natasha Holford presenting a cheque for that amount to Jill Perry-Warnes from the Lymphoma Association.
