The Baden Powell is Coming exhibition has arrived in Lynn and is proudly displaying the history of the 116 year-old boat.

Borough mayor Colin Manning opened the exhibition at the Custom House on Thursday of last week.

Ken Hill, secretary of the Worfolk Boat Trust, said: “Some very interesting people have visited, including one who actually used to go fishing on the Baden Powell.

“Many have been asking when she’s going to come back, to which we’ve said probably August or September.”

The unique vessel, which is the only double-ended boat of its kind, is currently being restored to its former glory. It was originally built in 1900 in Lynn at the Worfolk boatyard.

Those behind the exhibition have invited everyone to come along, whether they are experts in the field of fishing or not.

The exhibition runs until April 17.
