A animal charity was given a welcome boost after more than £500 was donated in memory of Mary Elizabeth Brook, of Old Hunstanton.

Mourners donated a total of £510.65 in aid of the RSPCA at the funeral of Mary, who passed away in December, aged 79.

Mary’s daughter Kim Brooke recently donated the money to Penny Skate, manager of the RSPCA West Norfolk Rehoming Centre at Eau Brink, Tilney All Saints, and also of the charity’s shop in Greevegate, Hunstanton.

Mrs Skate said: “The money has been very gratefully received and will help with all the animal rehoming we do across West Norfolk.”
